What makes a good case
- The rule says one thing and the outcome was another.
- Two applicants were treated differently for the same thing.
- A fee, timeline or requirement was never explained in writing.
- A decision was made without the public notice the process requires.
What we do with it
We pull the application file, the code section, the agenda packet or the invoice, and compare them to what you describe. If the record supports it, we write it up with every source linked, the way we did for the food truck park. If it does not, we tell you what we found.
What we are not
Not lawyers, and this is not legal advice. We do not represent you before the County, and we do not take positions on how a board should vote. We examine process. If you need an outcome by a deadline, talk to a land-use attorney as well.
